Suffolk Samaritans newly modernised centre

BBC’s Bill Turnbull recently opened the newly modernised Suffolk Samaritans centre. The St Helen’s Street building was bought by the Samaritans in 1994 following a huge fundraising campaign. In the busy 25 years that followed the building became very “tired” and a major refurbishment was required.

Following further fundraising, the branch is now fit for purpose and the volunteers are delighted.
Leigh Clayden said “It’s an honour to support such a worthwhile charity. The amazing staff stand by 5 core values – listening, confidentiality, non-judgmental attitudes, people making their own decisions and human contact.” https://lnkd.in/ghBHtn5
